Samsung said that the two parties most advanced smartphone besutannya it turned out was made in Indonesia.

This was stated by Vice President of Corporate Business and Corporate Affairs Samsung Indonesia Lee Kanghyun in an interview after the launch event attended by Kompas Tekno participate.

"Yes, made in Indonesia. Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, both made in Indonesia," said Lee.

Lee said, not just two smartphone models that are produced in Indonesia, but also other models with 4G LTE connectivity. Samsung's move according to plan rules about the level of domestic content (DCL), which is being discussed by the government.

Lee did not elaborate on any parts of the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Galaxy are produced in Indonesia. What is clear, he mentioned that the cost of production of the second phone in Indonesia is higher than the cost of imported directly.

This happens because most of the components have to be imported, while the assembly took place in Indonesia. However, Samsung still carry out the production of mobile phones in Indonesia in order to reach consumers in the local market.

"We do want to follow the will of the government," said Lee. "The local market in the future is definitely bigger than it is today, so we have prepared essentially since now."

Because of that, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Galaxy produced in Indonesia specifically intended for the domestic market the country, not to be exported abroad.

Samsung factory in Indonesia are located in Cikarang, West Java. Lee said that the factory was only instrumental produce other electronic devices, such as TVs and set top box, it has started making mobile phones since January 2015.
